SnapHop Demo began grass-roots as an abattoir in Dubbo, more than 30 years ago. We've since grown and expanded exponentially, revolutionising the industry with the highest degree of vertical integration, allowing us control of our product from paddock to port (and more!).

Since our early days as an abattoir, we have retained our roots and grown to produce a range of high quality co-products as well as establishing our Commodities and Intermodal Freight Division.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Assistant to join our team and assist in maintaining our technological infrastructure.

 

This role will include work carried out in production areas throughout all facets of the business. This will be a unique environment for an IT professional; we encourage shortlisted applicants to tour our facilities to ensure compatibility with the work environment. 

 

Position Overview: 

As an IT Assistant, you will work closely with our IT team to provide technical support, assist in troubleshooting issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our company's IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals, including a large variety of industry specific hardware and software.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving IT problems in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures and protocols.
  • Manage inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and system configurations.

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as an IT Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, networking, and security.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Office and D365.
  • Basic understanding of ITIL concepts and practices is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
